MAY 2026

Thank you, faithful Gratitude Tribe! And I trust you will enjoy this enewsletter if it is your first time receiving one from me. Remember that I welcome all comments and do lovingly answer you.

What I’ve come to understand is that it is all-important to embrace Acceptance in my life. After all, even if we think we are in control, we truly aren’t. Life has a way of challenging us. When we are in our comfort zone and feeling satisfied with what is happening, often life takes us down an unexpected road. That can be uncomfortable and even unwanted. Yet, if we fight what has come to shake us up, that only hinders. It is not helpful. I have become dedicated to accepting what-is in my world. And the benefits are fruitful. It is also evident that challenges bring about the most growth and self-awareness, leading me to further learning, and deepening my understanding about the world. And when we have acceptance, I’ve noticed that faith is right behind it.

The first time I became aware of accepting what-is was through reading Michael A. Singer’s books, The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment, both of which were groundbreaking for me. I read them during and after the 2020 pandemic—a time that certainly called for deep acceptance—and later facilitated book studies on Zoom and in person, where participants experienced meaningful insights that supported a more peaceful way of navigating life. Now, his newest book, Wisdom Untethered, offers a refreshing Q&A format that I am deeply appreciating as a renewed invitation into this practice.

“The moment that judgment stops through acceptance of what it is, you are free of the mind. You have made room for love, for joy, for peace.”

Michael A. Singer

Here are some spiritual tools I have found that can help with the task of accepting what-is.

The Quiet Strength of Faith & Acceptance

“To have courage for whatever comes in life – everything lies in that.”

St. Teresa of Avila

It is so true that acceptance, and the courage to meet whatever comes in life, serve us so well. No matter how unsettling an earthly situation may appear, I rest in the knowing that I am safe. I am safe because I am held, guided, and protected by the Divine. In this truth, I find deep comfort.

This is a time when courage, faith, and inner peace mean everything to me. I choose, with intention, to turn away from the noise of the world and from what seeks to disturb my spirit. Instead, I remember that so many good and loving people are creating positive change every single day.

And so, I encourage you—have hope. Have courage. Have faith. Accept what-is. Trust in the deeper Truth that all is truly well. In this knowing, my gratitude continues to flow… steady, strong, and unwavering.
