“Attention is the doorway to gratitude, the doorway to wonder, the doorway to reciprocity.”
Robin Wall Kimmerer
Paying attention is key to being grateful.
When we get going too fast, in a big rush, not stopping to be still,
we can easily forget all the blessings of our lives.
And attention to the good is also key. Turning towards what is positive,
and not focusing on what is wrong helps keep me
stayed on joy and satisfaction, rather than believing I am missing anything.
Because truly, I (and all of us) are part of the Divine, and as such, we have every little thing we could ever need within us. And as I understand this on deep levels, the wonder and magic of life is revealed, and more and more good comes my way!
“Spirit was Joy, but there was no one else to taste of this Joy,
so Spirit divided itself to become the Enjoyer,
the act of enjoying and the thing enjoyed — the Knower,
the process of knowing and the thing known.”
I am grateful to be Spirit’s representative!
And to realize it is my job to partake in Joy as much as possible.
Joy is life’s sweet nectar and can only truly be found within.
So thankful to let Joy bubble up — to laugh, to play, to be present and allow myself to appreciate and notice the boundless beauty of life.
“Even in a world that’s being shipwrecked, remain brave and strong.”
Hildegard von Bingen
I am grateful for, and appreciate my ability to weather storms! Whether they are internal storms of worry or fear, or external storms of absurdity and negativity, I open up my umbrella and put my galoshes on, and know that I am strong and courageous enough to handle whatever comes my way. How good it is to be able to count on me.

I am so very grateful for reminders like this one, with the fear, angst, and divisiveness showing up in the U.S. political scene recently.
My own guidance has told me that if something I’m worrying about is not important in the Big Picture, then don’t worry.
And as I thought about that one, nothing is really that important in the Big Picture, since life is eternal and the universe is loving.
Temporary glitches are just that.
So today, I couldn’t be more thankful to recognize and believe all of the above as truth!
“An optimist isn’t necessarily a blithe, sappy whistler in the dark. To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic… If we remember those times and places where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.”
I am thankful for being an eternal optimist. I am blessed and so appreciative not to have had any times of deep depression in my life.
I stand strong in positivity, I stand strong in faith, I stand strong in believing that all of us are much greater than we appear.
So, no matter what comes down the pike, I can handle it, and I watch others who I admire stand strong in their acts of love and courage too.
Grateful for all the blithe, sappy whistlers in the dark!
